OUR TEAM

Professor Paxton began his career over twenty years ago in South Korea, as an Adult English as a Second Language (ESL) instructor and serving in diverse capacities such as Director of Curriculum Development, Manager of Talent Acquisition and a copywriter while working with the subsidiaries of LG, Samsung, and KEPCO. For one year, he taught ESL to medical students in Seoul, Korea at the Samsung Medical Center. After returning to the United States, he continued to deliver instruction in both public and private schools from K-8th grade and at universities in both Maryland and Virginia. Lastly, he is in the process of finishing up a Master of Arts in Teaching at Liberty University.

Shawn PaxtonEnglish Professor

Currently, Dr. Abed Almala is a mathematics professor at Colorado Technical University (CTU) Online and an adjunct professor of physics at Rio Salado College. He completed his Doctorate in Education and Instructional Technology at the Higher Education Program, George Mason University in 2004. Dr. Almala received his Master of Science in Applied and Engineering Physics from George Mason University in 1995. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Physics and minored in math. Dr. Almala published several articles in national and international journals, magazines, and presented workshops in national and international conferences. He designed, developed, and implemented undergraduate and graduate courses.
